A number of teachers at Chavagnes are 'fellows' of the Company of St Gregory, an association of consecrated laity committed to the vocation of teaching. Fellows renew their commitment annually.

'La Compagnie de St Gregoire' has been accorded the status of an approved stable lay community in Canon Law, with a 'decretum laudis' issued by the local bishop.
