Kevin Sinnott RIPWe have just heard of the tragic drowning of a former Chavagnes pupil, Kevin Sinnott, near the university where he was studying in Georgia, Southern Catholic College.

He was a very sensitive and intelligent young man with a keen sense of justice and fair play: perhaps that is what made him, while at Chavagnes, an energetic and gifted sportsman as well as a much respected prefect. He was also a hard worker who gave of his best academically.

Kevin was a young man with a deep faith and had been to confession on the day of his death. He is going to be sorely missed by his family and friends, for whom he will continue to be an inspiring example.

A growing number of tributes from former pupils and staff have been received already at the College, and these will be forward to Kevin's mother, Kathy, a former Irish MEP.

Please pray for Kevin's soul for his grieving family, and especially for his mother Kathy.

Requiescat in pace.
